Our certified Pilates Trainers have the knowledge and extensive training to instruct on program modifications regarding specific medical concerns that may require specific exercise modifications.

What makes GCP Apparatus classes different from the rest? -- At GCP we use all of the Pilates Apparatus in our classes - not just the Reformer, so you get a full workout utilizing more of the equipment and repetoire than other Reformer-only classes. -- We limit our classes to 6 people, with an average class size of 3-4 clients, so you will never be lost in the crowd of people as with many gyms & larger studios offering super-low prices. -- We don't have minimums, so you will never be turned away or charged more if you are the only client to show up for class. Occasionally you may get a private session at a bargain price! -- With smaller classes, you will receive more attention. Our classes are more accurately described as "small group personal training" - the industry trend toward affordable personal training. -- All of our Trainers are Comprehensively Certified in all of the Pilates Apparatus, so you will always be training with a top-quality, knowledgeable & experienced instructor - never a trainee! -- GCP also employes Master Pilates Trainers - trainers who specialize in training other Pilates instructors how to teach. This ensures you will always receive the best instruction available. -- GCP is a Balanced Body University Host Site, where we regularly hold PIlates Instructor Training workshops. Our equipment is the newest and best available. We also offer the latest in new equipment innovations and upgrades. -- We offer flexibility in scheduling - you are welcome to vary your routine to fit your schedule; no need to commit in advance to the same day & time each week. Simply choose the class or classes that fit your schedule each week & call to reserve your space in class! If you're busy, ill, or traveling, you won't forfeit your classes or need to make them up. Just call and resume your training when you are ready to return!

Pilates Mat
Pilates Mat Classes build core strength and improve posture, can reduce low back pain, increase flexibility, or relieve stiffness. Light hand-weights, foam rollers, Magic Circles, mini-balls, stretch ropes, Pilates Arcs, and stretch bands enhance the workout. This is the most cost-effective & flexible option available - no reservations are needed - just drop in and join a class!
Yoga
Yoga is an effective workout that will leave you feeling refreshed and energized. All classes are in the hatha vinyasa style, meaning the asanas (exercises) are given in succession to create a heat-building “flow” and natural rhythm. Classes include a warm up to create lasting heat from the inside out, followed by rigorous strength-building and stretching asanas designed to craft a strong, supple body. Simple breathing exercises help promote stress-relief, mental balance and focus. Yoga is a wonderful complement to all types of exercise and movement.
Class Details:
Power Yoga – Get moving with Bridget and feel the intensity yoga has to offer with specific asanas to strengthen and tone the upper and lower body and core.
Rooftop Yoga – Enjoy REAL sun salutations and soak up the benefits of yoga asanas and mindful attention to alignment along with the beauty of the city. Weather permitting, classes are held on our spacious, fully appointed rooftop deck. Experience a Yoga class like no other, 27 stories above NYC! In the event of inclement weather, classes are held in our cozy studio.
All classes are open level. Beginners welcome! Private sessions available.
Body Rolling
Yamuna Body Rolling is a cutting-edge way to elongate and stretch your body. Using small balls, you roll out the tension in your body, and receive immediate results! Your body will feel looser and lighter, you will move with greater ease, and you may be relieved of any pain you brought to class with you. This work is profound and will help you learn about your body and free its restrictions. You will leave feeling very relaxed, and taller!! YBR is a perfect complement to your yoga and pilates workout, or your sports training, because it enhances performance and decreases the chance of injury. Private sessions are also available.
We will evaluate and track your Body Composition (% muscle & fat), Flexibility, Measurements, BMI (body mass index), plus a full Postural Assessment with before & after pictures. You will learn your baseline level for all the areas we measure and from there you will work with your trainer to set goals and design a workout program to help you achieve them. Follow-up evaluations allow you to monitor progress, set new goals, and even enter contests to win prizes!
I've finally found a great Pilates studio with a convenient location and schedule! The vibe is so welcoming and the instructors are extremely qualified- they really go above and beyond.
